2 out of 4 weekend program 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Employees in the Special Weekend Program are responsible for working any holiday that falls on their regularly scheduled weekend. In a holiday season where both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a weekend, employees in the Special Weekend Program are responsible for working one of these two holidays plus any other holiday that falls on a weekend.

**Special Pay Program!**

 

The Registered Nurse, RN, Telemetry assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. The Registered Nurse, RN, Telemetry is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

 

A brand new Hospital Pavilion opened last year. The new pavilion is home to both the PCU and ICU levels of care with 52 private patient rooms. The newest in-room technology creates ease of use for staff to deliver exceptional care to patients.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse, RN, Telemetry ensures patient safety in the performance of job functions and through participation in hospital, department or unit patient safety initiatives.Takes action to correct observed risks to patient safety.
  • Reports adverse events and near misses to appropriate management authority.
  • Implements policies, procedure, and standards consistently in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Identifies possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates the same to those in charge.
  • Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships.
  • Fosters a healing environment for patients and families
  • Assumes responsibility and authority for establishing a therapeutic relationship with the patient/ family and creating an individualized plan of care, and evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Integrates clinical reasoning and knowledge as the foundation for decision-making
  • Balances patient's rights and organization's responsibilities in providing professional and ethical care

The Telemetry Unit is a fast-paced, high acuity 42-all private bed unit. Certified by the Joint Commission in Stroke and Heart Failure. Nationally recognized by the American Heart Association for maintaining high quality metrics in the management of Stroke, Heart Failure, and Atrial Fibrillation.

 

Schedule: 2 out of 4 weekend program 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 
Nursing Diploma minimum requirement  

Associate's Degree Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse, preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications: 
Registered Nurse in PA – Licensed, upon hire, required 
Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required
