The Registered Nurse, RN, Orthopaedics/Trauma is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care. The Registered Nurse, RN, Orthopaedics/Trauma practices professional nursing set forth by Grand View Health, ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and the Society of Trauma Nurses.
Unit Overview: The Orthopaedic/Trauma unit consists of 20 beds and primarily serves orthopedic and traumatic injuries. This Unit is a fast-paced environment that sees a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity. All of our inpatient units are exceptionally collaborative among their staff and share a common philosophy around the value of teamwork, professionalism, and excellent patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule: 48 hours per 6 week schedule, 24 of these hours on the weekends. Dayshift and Nightshift opportunities available.
Education and Experience:
Nursing Diploma minimum requirement required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing And Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse in PA – Licensed, Upon hire, required
Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required
Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) is available after one (1) year of employment
Orthopaedic Nursing Certification (ONC) is available after one (1) year of employment
