The Clinical Analyst will be responsible for developing and installing software used in a clinical setting, (MEDITECH Expanse), training medical staff on how to use information systems correctly, analyzing clinical data, identifying areas for improvement, and designing processes for them, providing system upgrades and maintenance. 

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and install computer systems, databases, and software to store clinical data.
• Actively facilitates communication with assigned departments to support system adoption and best practice.
• Provides in-service and other forms of continuing education of software and hardware to users.
• Build information systems consistent with IT standards and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Train hospital and medical staff on how to use computer systems and capture data correctly for future analysis.
• Coordinates and installs new software applications with user departments.
• Shares on-call duties with other individuals within Information Services.
• Analyze problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action.
• Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
• Triage incidents and requests within the MEDITECH system to resolution.
• Identifies system patches, releases, and other maintenance required activities so that systems are current, maintained and supported.

Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree Clinical, Business, Computer Sciences, or related field And Over 1 year to 3 years Related field and work experience. required 
Over 5 years to 7 years Equivalent work experience. required
Over 3 years to 5 years Prior experience in healthcare and applications support. preferred
Experience in financial and clinical applications support. preferred
In-depth knowledge of MediTech (clinical and financial), NPR reporting beneficial. preferred
