Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist performs imaging for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The Radiologic Technologist demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served. The ideal candidate has competencies to perform multiple types of imaging including Fluoro, X-Ray, involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews the daily patient schedule in order to maximize efficiency and minimize patient waiting time.
  • Ensure proper identification and documentation of radiographic images
  • Transfers patient safely to exam table and provides for patient safety by providing appropriate monitoring/ visualization during exam.
  • Positions patient under x-ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and affixes lead shields to protect unaffected areas.
  • Follow established protocols for cleaning, preparing, and operating radiological equipment.
  • Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise, and pertinent to the patient's condition and response to care.

Schedule: 24 hours every 6 weeks based on department needs, Holiday rotation and Call rotation, 1 Saturday every 5 weeks, Call approximately once every 15 days.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Vocational Diploma or Associate's Degree from an AMA approved radiologic technology program, required.

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Radiological Technologist, Certified, required

Basic Life Support (BLS), upon hire, required
