The Registered Nurse on the Orthopedic Unit assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse functions as a health team member through independent, interdependent and dependent roles within the health care system. Serving as the patient's advocate, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing care for patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts a week. 7:00 pm - 7:30 am, Modified Self-Scheduling, 4 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule, Every third holiday.
Education and Experience:
Nursing Diploma minimum requirement required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing And Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse in PA – Licensed, Upon hire, required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Within 1 year of hire, required
Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required
