Under the general direction and guidelines of Department of Emergency Medicine standing orders, standards established through the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania, and Grand View Hospital policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Essential Functions:
Our Emergency Department has 30 beds plus 2 Trauma bays. We see patient ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. All medical concerns including STEMIs, acute stroke and trauma patients, as well as patients experiencing mental health emergencies.
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts a week - 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, every third weekend and every other holiday.
Education and Experience:
Vocational Nursing diploma, required
Associate's Degree Over 6 months to 1 year as an acute care Registered Nurse, preferred
License and Certifications:
Registered Nurse in PA – licensed, upon hire, required
Basic Life Support (BLS), upon hire, required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), within 1 year of hire, required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), upon hire, preferred
Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), upon hire, preferred
